Swaziland is a country in Southern Africa, that I did not know anything about. I was unsure about the month, but God had BIG plans for me.

In my life in the states, I didn’t spend much time with children because they challenged me and were draining, but on the race God has been redeeming that. I’ve told my team many of times that I do not want to work with the children. Funny enough, God has placed a special child in my life each month on the race. This month in Swaziland we got to pick our ministry. I wanted to be very intentional with my choice, so I prayed about it a lot. God kept bringing up the care point option, during my prayer time. The care point is an outreach program that helps kindergarten to high school aged kids. The program feeds and educates the children. The children are taught basic task as well as Biblical lessons. This option obviously involved children, so I kept second guessing myself on what God said. We had to write out three choices, and care point was my top choice (because God said). I thought surely I would not be picked because the women on my squad  are so great with kids, and because I have been very vocal about not wanting to be with them. Ultimately, I was picked for the care point. I knew God put me there for a reason so I decided to pray for joy, strength, patience, and love. I know God has my best interest at heart and that something fruitful would come from the opportunity. Little did I know, the care point was just what I needed. God has taught me how to love children through his eyes. Each day I am beyond thrilled to go and hangout with my new friends. I didn’t realize that I needed the love of a child in my life, but God knew. Swaziland is my most favorite month and it is because of my Yes to God.

When we say Yes to God it is by far beyond better than what we could have for ourselves. You will never regret saying Yes to God. The Bible Verse, Isaiah 6:8 states, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

My question for you all as you go forward is What is God asking you to say yes to now?
